Southampton Town code enforcement slaps landlord with 50 violations at six houses

John is well known in Southampton which is a true fact. But you really need to look outside the box and put your friendship aside on this one. When you get 50 violations on your rentals, that is serious!! Some comments are saying how nice John is. How nice can he be when he is putting people's lives at risk for his benefit only!! People wouldn't bash John on the internet if he would just play the rules. Rules are to be broken but geez 50 violations!! " Jun 4, 10 10:29 AM

Southampton School Officials Call Meeting For Parents To Discuss Recent 'Incidents'

After attending the meeting at the high school monday night, I am so disappointed in the community!!! The only comment that made sense all night was when a gentleman asked the parents "Are you afraid to discipline your child?" Parents need to communicate and discipline their child(ren) at home FIRST!! It was pretty disturbing watching and listening the parents literally attack Dr Mundell the high school principal! Parents fail to understand that we have about 600 students and he cannot be there for every student every second of the day. Mr Mundell is doing an awesome job and these parents need to take time out of their day to meet with him like he takes time to meet with parents at night. Just remember Mr Mundell was the one who called this meeting to give us parents a more understanding as to what is going on in our schools! Did anyone start off by saying "Thank You"? Did any parent make any suggestions as to what we can do together as a community to stop violence in our schools? NO! At first I was mad but I chose to listen first. On that note, I would like to add one last comment by saying, "Let's stick together and help our child(ren) have a safe and successful 2010-2011 school year and many more!!!!!" Oct 18, 10 10:26 PM

Raucous Meeting Focuses On Fights At Southampton High School

Well I agreed with your response except for the part where you think students should be "expelled". That's a bit to harsh I think. Regardless, we have to give our children a good education. Maybe on second offense, "mandatory counseling along with suspension". And you are SO RIGHT about how our teachers are NOT babysitters to keep them out of trouble. " Oct 22, 10 8:20 PM
