Southampton Town Board promotes three police officers to sergeant

One more thing Turkey
You never did answer where you buddy Ms. Flemming was for the Work Session and State of the Town on April 1. Was the newly elected offical to busy to attend? " Apr 18, 10 11:19 PM

Financial investigation unearths $3 million deficit in Southampton Town beach fund

Turkey then the legislative branch (as you say) a majority of them democrats during the time these deficits happened were not watching over the executive branch OK fine. Now that I used your words do you feel better now.
Its you that keeps saying it was Kabot and Heaney or the republicans. If you want to say it was Heaney and the accounting people, fine lets blame Heaney and the accounting dept.

Turkey it would not have made a difference if you and your dem friends had the opportunity to speak. The outcome would have been the same due to the rep majority. Do you know for sure how it was done back when the dem's had the majority?
I was pointing out that Flemming missed this important state of the town/work session, because you accused Malone for missing meetings. My point is, all members of the board miss meetings.
I understand that you are trying to point out everything you think is wrong with the republicans on the board, hoping that those who blog here will vote democrat.
I really think you are wasting your time, it's the same 20 people who blog here every day.
How about you, why don't you run for election, maybe you could be the 3rd democrat vote. " Apr 19, 10 11:15 PM

Just having fun with you on a daily basis turkey. Did you attend that TB Meeting? If not, why didn't you speak in support of the democrat that ATH wanted to appoint? Did you think that appointing a democrat was in the bag? Now that the outcome changed you keep whining about it. Why don't you speak at the next board meeting and tell them that you are not happy with the choice they made. " Apr 20, 10 7:56 PM

Turkey, you call what you are doing "campaigning"? I think it is you that needs to get a life. You are so passionate about the things you bog about so get off your butt and do something about.
I'm serious you should take your complaints with Nuzzi and Malone to the board room where you can go on record and speak about everything you are opposed to. Then you can see yourself on Channel 22, just think of the number of people you can reach." Apr 21, 10 7:10 PM

Local Tea Party movement holds two rallies on Tax Day

Anyone on Social Security pays for Medicare, it's not free health insurance.
Take a test get a civil service job and you to will be eligible for health insurance. Even civil service employees pay for health insurance it’s not free. I can't believe someone would begrudge somebody who retired with health insurance or receives a veteran’s pension. The system didn't take care of someone like this. Someone who is enjoying these benefits deserves it by working and serving our country.

Turkey, you prove my point time and time again, you need to get a life. Try to stop laboring over this issue, it seem only you keep commenting about the walk on resolutions. As far as I know no law exists on the town books that walks on are not allowed and that the public should be given advanced notice. Personally, I could care less about these walk on's even if all democrats were appointed.
Also the answer to your question is NO, I dont think if would have made a difference if some people were opposed to the appointments. Thats my opinion I can't speak for the other 35,000 voters.
The only reason you keep bring this up, is because republicans were appointed and ATH did not get to appoint one of your own, a democrat.
Again, go to the next TB meeting, speak your mind and bring some of your democrat buddies with you. Think of all the people you could being your message to. " Apr 22, 10 8:30 PM

Local Tea Party movement holds two rallies on Tax Day

What incitement of violence? I have not seen or heard of any violence. Those on the left would have everyone believe that these people are violent. Who spit on a black congressman, the cameras were rolling with audio, none of the TV channels showed any of this so called spitting or ethnic slurs. They would die to get this on CBS, NBC or CNN; these lies are coming from left wing media.
Those on social security and Medicare (those 62 and older) do pay taxes, social security is taxed and they pay for Medicare, it’s not free. To say that these people are bleeding the system is horrible. What should we do with our elderly population? Euthanize them? Its not the elderly who is bleeding the system, its people who think that the government should take care of them from cradle to grave, those are the one’s who are bleeding the system.
Our (democrat majority) congress gave social security recipients no increase this year or next year. But congress (with the dem majority) gave themselves a nice big raise.

"Democrat Party" is a political epithet used in the United States instead of "Democratic Party" when talking about the Democratic Party.
Not that I really care what you think." Apr 23, 10 10:55 PM

Developer made campaign donations as project came before board

$4550 went to Anna Throne-Holst? I was under the impression the limit was $1850 under the law. She said this doesn’t affect her, who is she kidding. I'm still waiting to see how the police make out with raises after they went all out to endorse her and also donated in excess of the allowable amount.
We have a corrupt Supervisor and TB. You have to ask yourself why the law was rescinded, not requiring these donation be listed on the financial disclosure.
" Jun 16, 10 7:08 PM

2nd note
It was Supervisor Anna Throne-Holst who was the sponsor of this resolution, it removed all wording to disclose campaign donations from someone who was working with the town, just like Mr. Morrow. I would call this resolution a cover your butt resolution. Look it up Res# 2010-357 from the April 13 TB meeting." Jun 16, 10 7:32 PM

Turkey and Lablover both liberals as clearly stated by your posts.
Please turkey, stop acting like a child.
Turkey is not being naive; he as usual will never make a negative statement of his candidate Anna Throne-Holst. If these donations were only given to republicans & Malone his comments would have been completely different (and you know it Turkey).

Lablover read your own comments, "tainted donations, donations to Ms. Throne- Holst were indeed meant to buy her support". What do you call this? Buying someone's support, would make that person corrupt.

If both of you think for one minute that we have no corruption in SH you are both naive.
I didn't injure ATH, she did this to herself when she accepted and cashed checks from Mr. Morrow and also sponsored a resolution to rescind the law and not have this info disclosed on the annual disclosure form.
Give it some time turkey, Bridget is new in this game and took office to late, she will receive plenty of donation from developers like Morrow.
This whole thing reeks of impropriety." Jun 18, 10 2:00 AM

Semi local
Finally someone who gets it, and has a brain.

But can all 4 board members recuse themselves leaving only Bridget to vote on a resolution concerning this PDD? LOL, I don't know." Jun 18, 10 2:11 AM

lablover
And you comment without reading all the posts. If you had read all the posts correctly you would have noticed that I was responding to semi local when she stated this above: " I would hope that anyone who received any campaign contribution step up to the plate and recuse themselves". Meaning recuse themselves when the time comes to vote on this PDD.
BTW keep your own anger issues in check." Jun 18, 10 7:30 PM

Kabot's DWI trial delayed once again

Rocky your comments are a disgraceful
Kabot had no control over this article being written. Who are you, a disgruntled SH police officer? You should watch your mouth and take some anger management sessions.
Also, these comments do not sound like they are coming from a female, you must be a guy. Rocky is mans name, better change that picture shown.
Read some of this guys past posts, he's a cop.

Southampton Town planner defends Tuckahoe planned development district

His name is Jefferson Murphree and I'm sure he is taking his walking orders directly from the Supervisor or else he will get his walking papers.
He will be the fall guy and take any heat for her. He can afford to to do because he does not have to run for re-election next year, so course he will defend the project even though it's bad for SH." Jul 7, 10 6:55 PM

Southampton Town drops use of preservation money after outcry

The resolution was sponsored by the Supervisor Anna Throne-Holst. Resolution 2010-633 " Jul 11, 10 9:04 PM

Southampton Town planner defends Tuckahoe planned development district

It shouldn't matter that Anna Throne-Holst has been supervisor for only 7 months. The point is, the residents are upset (and rightfully so) she said she would oppose anything that people were against. Well it is very clear the people do not want this mall to go forward and get approved. She is finding all kind of ways making excuses for why it's good for SH. She also said that the people wanted another Supermarket.
She did not appoint Jeff Murphree, he was in this position way before her, but you can be darn sure he is doing and saying whatever she wants. She will not make a statement like Murphree did in the above article. Remember she has to run for reelection next year. This is what Anna does she uses people (staff) to pass her own agenda; she will not openly defend this project. She just keeps dancing all around the subject. When the time comes to actually vote she will say “Based on the recommendation of Mr. Murphree who thinks it’s a good project and due to the fact that many people are in favor. The bottom line will be a yes vote from her and the rest of the TB.
She's off the hook she has someone to blame.
Think about it, never as far as I can remember Murphree ever been quoted in the paper regarding any controversial topic. She the pushing force here, no one hates Throne-Holst.
People are pissed because they are seeing what a real phony she is. We have a Supervisor who could care less about Southampton.

Southampton Town drops use of preservation money after outcry

Yes, and it was Nancy Graboski who recalled the resolution, and as the article states the resolution was not clear and the board members said they would not have voted for it had they known the $500,000 was restricted funds.
But do you think Anna knew exactly what she was doing by walking on this reso?
