Oddone trial waiting game: some tenderness among the tension

I have been quiet until now. I lived down the hall from Tony in college, and he was an overall good kid. he did have times where he let drinking effect his judgment, which I'm sure was the situation here. I was absolutely shocked when I heard he had "murdered" someone, because thats not the kinda guy he is. I would never say he was a saint, but I didn't think he had it in him to murder anyone.

While I feel for the Reister family, I also give Tony's friends a lot of credit for sticking with him to the very end. He was a kid who would be there if you needed help, so I think it's great they are standing by him.

I also would like to say that I appreciate the Jury taking this case so seriously, looking at every piece of evidence, and reviewing witness testimony. I definitely think Tony needs to accept responsibility, and take whats coming to him, but at the same time I feel for a young man who screwed up his life because of a very stupid mistake." Oddone sentenced to 22 years in prison

Wow... I met Tony my first day of college. He did like to drink, and when he drank sometimes he got a little crazy. I never thought his form of crazy would ever result in someone dying. Overall he was a good kid. I really can't believe that he's going to be in Prison for the next 22 years.

Mrs Register, and family I am sorry for your loss, Mrs Oddones, I hope you all have the strength to live with your son in prison, Anthony I hope you learn your lesson, and I hope the second half of your life after you emerge from prison is a lot more productive, and you make a positive difference in this world." Oddone attorney files appeal

What bothered me most about this case is Andrew wasn't innocent. had he lived he may have been convicted of a crime himself. Since he died he is portrayed as a saint when he may have been just as guilty as Anthony." Apr 27, 10 2:25 PM
