Charges dropped against man who sprung traps on neighbor's property

How in the world does cat repellent damage traps? The traps are left out in the elements and are tough enough to hold angry wild animals for a long time. You'd have to take a hammer to one of them to cause any lasting damage (I caught and 're-homed' a few raccoons with a Have-a-Heart trap). I think the trapper is trying to take advantage of an unfortunate situation. What is his name again?? Why the anonymity? He doesn't want the public to know what a rip-off artist he is?

Southampton Village Police cuff man, find no weapon

The guy is lucky this is happened on SH.
In NYC they'd put the cuffs on him, step on his foot, slap him around and poke him in the eye. Then they'd taser him, go through his pockets for loose change, and release him on the F train without his pants on....

Proposed change to Southampton Village code would allow archers to shoot deer on their property

So now can I shoot my neighbor with a bow and arrow?? Yay!
I'll tell the cops "I was aiming that that deer, y'all!!"
(That'll teach him to dump his clippings on my part of the yard...) Yeehaw!" Oct 16, 09 2:41 PM

Turkeys in East Hampton: Friends or food?

I hate to whistleblow....but wild turkey tastes like crap..stringy, gamey, and prone to parasitic infection...Those hunters are going to be disappointed.
I think more satisfaction would be gained by consuming some real Wild Turkey at home...with a nice farm-raised turkey dinner!" Nov 19, 09 1:30 PM
