Officials want to use Southampton Town's Community Preservation Fund to save Stony Brook Southampton

Southampton Hospital / Peconic Health Systemhas plans to move.. probably the Elks Club property. Why not discuss with them the possiblity of using the facilities on campus.. maybe we could provide housing for nurses, nursing students, medical residents via the dorms. Possilbly becoming a state of the art teaching hospital... " Apr 23, 10 1:56 PM

Thiele: Stony Brook rejects idea of maintaining residential campus at Southampton

Waffling Thiele and Which Way is the Wind Blowing Lavalle are just trying to cover up their ridiculous deal, that they facilitated, to purchase the Southampton campus in the first place. This site is not economically feasible, without a large endowment attached to it... LIU never broke even with this campus... Lets stop pretending... there is no CPF money that can be used to purchase development rights...this is just another political dog and pony show that Lavalle and Thiele are engaging in to show their constituents that "see we really tried to save the campus" ... lets not save their jobs during the next election and vote the bums out." At the present time... there is no money to fund this project.. The state is broke, and virtually bankrupt...The best benefit to the public is for the state to stop spending our money... especially on campus purchases that we cannot afford." May 7, 10 10:43 AM

Westhampton Beach man receives GOP nod for assembly; Thiele gets Democratic endorsement

As a state Assemblyman, please fight to stop the spending in Albany. Fight for a constitutional amendment that we have an adopted budget on April 1. Fight for the end of the Cadillac Medicaid plan we provide. A Chevrolet plan is just what we need. Fight for an increase in Charter Schools... our public education system is a trough for endless spending...Fight to reduce sales tax, property tax, and fuel tax... Commit to cutting spending across the board...

As far as your concerns for the border... I salute you... No country is sovereign without borders... No country is as generous to border crossers as the United States... No country is so vulnerable because of our porous borders as the United States... First and foremost, border security and control... is not... i repeat is not, an anti immigration issue... in fact it’s not an immigration issue at all... It’s a security and sovereignty issue... Close and secure our borders... that is what our federal government is obligated to do... they are charged with protecting our constitution, which means securing our borders, so that we remain sovereign... as far the millions of illegal aliens, many now with anchor babies and children who are American citizens... we need to deal with it... This is how... anyone regardless of whether they have children here, who is a violent criminal ,drug dealing, smuggling, rape, murder, child abuse, gets deported period...end of story for them... All others who have broken our laws, must be penalized, as our citizens are penalized for breaking the law...pay a fine...$20,000 per person... apply for citizenship... but you go to the back of the line. (And wait a minimum of 15 years to be granted citizenship)... get a green card...pay into our system...learn english and lets move on... we will not speak dual languages, or teach in our public education system, dual languages... we will not change our culture, attitudes or beliefs... they assimilate into the melting pot... that part of the requirement for citizenship...

As far as your profession as a guidance counselor, hopefully you are coaching your students to maximize their skill sets... develop a sense of obligation to take care of self and their families... to not depend on government to bail them out... and to produce in their lives... the goal of school is to prepare students to be productive in society and not a liability to society...if your are in favor of assuring we all have skin in this game "called an experiment in democracy" in this great representative republic that we call the United States of America ... then you are exactly what we need as our representative to the New York State Government... Good luck....

Mattituck woman will receive six months for DWI fatality involving Hampton Bays teen

What a crock.. It doesnt matter if this young man was jumping up and down in the middle of the road. The murderer should not have been driving period! Therefore, the murderer should have never killed this young man regardless of where he was riding, standing, swerving.. Once again, blame the victim, and protect the murderer.... " Jun 2, 10 8:15 AM

To ICE... when one is driving drunk they are engaging in attempted murder... when a poor victim gets in their way and actually kill someone while driving drunk then they are a murderer. Hope that clarifies...Over thirty people per day, 7 days per week, 52 weeks a year are murdered in drunk driving incidents. Thats over 10,000 people in the USA that are murdered year after year... think about how screwed up our priorities are as a society... when we practically put Toyota out of business, held all sorts of Congressional hearings, because a few cars had a mind of their own...These murders are completely preventable... dont drink and drive" Jun 2, 10 9:35 PM

The murderer should have never been on the road, period. It is 100% her fault. She put herself in a position where her needs, wants, desires, came before the safety and life of another. I don care if the victim was dancing naked in the streets.. she should have never been there... This is not her first offense. The victim was murdered... that can never be their fault.. Over 10,000 people are murdered every year by Drunk Drivers... wake up...." Jun 11, 10 1:33 PM

Mother of drunk driving victim protests sentence

Actually she is not a killer.. she is a murderer. She chose to drink, she chose to drive, she chose to disobey the law, she chose to disregard the life and safety of others, including her own child. She should never have been on the road to begin with... so it doesnt matter what the victim was doing, where he was, etc... There should be no discussion of the victims behavior, if we were a truely moral and just society. " Jun 16, 10 10:52 AM
