Why weren't the Southampton Town Bay Constables who responded and were on scene mentioned in the story?? And as for the North Sea Fire Dept, they always respond on their own looking for something to do. they were well out of their district probably breaking the Memorandum of Understanding between the USCG and other agencies smh :/

ok, folks. I side with the officer and here is why...The woman called the police to file a report. The officer arrives to conduct official business. Upon approaching the woman to talk to her in her car, he finds her breastfeeding and potentially has one or both breast exposed.The Officer now needs to avoid putting himself in a possible "sexual" situation that could be her word against his. she could have accused the officer of staring, gawking, or something else. He was in the right to ask her to put "them" away. How can she think that having her breast out while trying to talk to the cop would be fine and dandy? I would be very awkward myself. Had she just been doing her business without the need of police, the circumstances would have been entirely different. Nobody would have bothered her or even cared. no phil, it was my opinion of what the officer may have thought of the situation and I did not refer to breastfeeding as a sexual act. I don't believe she had her breast covered while feeding. That's why the officer asked her to put them away. She has already accused him of something and she could very well accuse him of other things. her word against his. chief, it's not really a handout. the people who bought these homes will be paying mortgages and taxes. the lots were donated by suffolk county which were off the tax rolls and grant money was put towards the purchase of the home knocking the price down by $40k. the owners of these homes have to live in them for at least ten years, which is not mentioned in the article. if the owners sell the house within 10 years, they pay back the grant money that is prorated. it's a good way to keep the young workforce in the area and keeping them from moving down south south to the Carolina's or Georgia."
