Yes, I am a Summer Resident. Any problem with that? My heart is just as connected to the east end as you and probably have more financial invested that you. I suggest you get off your soap box and stop whining that local crap and get involved and control the inevitable just as I suggested. Control the architecture and signage. " Feb 8, 11 5:45 PM
Regardless of opinions on the need for another Supermarket, I think Mr. Marrow went about the process dishonestly. He insulted the intelligence of the entire Hamptons Community (both full and part time residence) when he made political contributions to all the Members of the Southampton Town Board, just prior their vote on allowing the PDD process to move forward. This dishonest, selfish, greedy individual should never be given any, variances, zone changes or other accommodations on ANY of his projects if The Town Board wants to send the right message to the community. It's Trader Joe and in my opinion Southampton is the wrong market for that concept. If a supermarket is what is needed, you must start at 40,000 square feet in order to be considered "super". " Nov 25, 11 11:52 AM

It will be interesting how Murphy handles the other side. VHB has clients such as CVS Drugs and Various Banks and other fortune 500 retail Cos. Under Murphy such developments too 2-3 years stuck at the Town red tape. At his new job, such retailers looking to expand into markets would call that time table a snow-job. " Dec 27, 11 12:00 AM
