A Westhampton man was arrested by Southampton Town Police on Friday morning, June 14, for selling a variety of drugs to local teenagers, police said.

Jack Ryan Martin, 23, was arrested at approximately 10:30 a.m. after police executed a search warrant of his residence in the Beaver Lake condominiums. Police said they were responding to complaints from the community regarding “heavy drug traffic” in the area.

Police said Mr. Martin sold marijuana, THC vape cartridges and vape pens to young adults and high school students.

According to a police press release, he advertised his stock of illegal substances through social media and sold the products from a variety of locations, including his residence and the rear parking lot of the Mill Road 7-Eleven, as well as side streets.

After searching Mr. Martin’s residence on Friday morning, officers recovered vape THC cartridges, an undisclosed quantity of marijuana and a total of $3,000 in cash, police said.

Mr. Martin was charged with second-degree criminal sale of marijuana and fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, both felonies, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of marijuana, both misdemeanors, and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation.

Mr. Martin was transported to Southampton Town Police headquarters in Hampton Bays and held for arraignment on Saturday morning. According to the Southampton Town Justice Chief Court Clerk’s office, Mr. Martin accepted a plea deal on Tuesday morning and was sentenced to 60 days in county jail.
