James Peter Fabrizio, Formerly Of Springs, Dies February 13

James Peter Fabrizio, formerly of Springs, and recently of Boca Raton, Florida, died in Madison, Wisconsin, on Saturday, February 13, three days after his 25th birthday.

Mr. Fabrizio suffered from a mental disease called schizoaffective disorder, that began when he turned 19. His cause of death is not known at this time.

Mr. Fabrizio was born in New York City on February 10, 1991, to Andrea Gurvitz and Peter Fabrizio. He graduated from John M. Marshall Elementary School and Ross School in East Hampton and completed two years at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. He played saxophone in the Ross School jazz band and was on the baseball and basketball teams.

Ms. Gurvitz survives him. His father died in 2012.

He is also survived by two sisters, Alona Fusco and husband Michael of Lake Grove and Michal Mott and husband Sean Mott of Oakdale; and five nieces. His grandparents, Concetta and Michael Fabrizio Sr., predeceased him.
