Nov 11, 2009 3:57 PM

Longtime Remsenburg summer resident Shirley “Bunny” Obermeyer died on October 9 at her home in New York City. She was 75.

A daughter of Donald and Chlorine Weber of Englewood, Ohio, she was a flight attendant for TWA Airlines for many years and married Ernest “Obie” Obermeyer in 1972.

She is survived by a stepson, David Obermeyer of Illinois; three nieces, Linda Patton and her husband Tom of Ohio, Kimberly Richmeier and her husband Ron of California, and Michelle Gutmann-White and her husband
Patrick of Colorado; and two nephews, Steve Hart and Donald Hart, both of Ohio.

Two sisters, Phyllis Weber Hart and Carol Weber Gutmann, predeceased her.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.

It is so sad to hear of her passing, however I will always remember her coming into the Gayle Willson Gallery with the best outlook on life!
