Quogue School District Propositions

May 8, 2019 10:30 AM

In addition to the budget, district voters will be asked to decide on four propositions.

Proposition 2 asks voters to approve the Quogue Village Library’s $956,040 budget for July 2019 to June 2020.

Proposition 3 would allow the Board to transfer $200,000 from the district’s unassigned reserve fund to the repair reserve fund, established by the Board in 2017 to fund capital improvements to the district.

Proposition 4 would authorize the Board of Education to use $160,000 of the district’s capital reserve to fund classroom renovations. The proposed project consists of converting an existing classroom into a multipurpose room to house speech, physical therapy and occupational therapy services, as well as offer additional meeting space for Parent Teacher Association and staff meetings.

Proposition 5 gives the board permission to contract with the Westhampton Beach School District for the education of students in grades seven to 12.
