But there can be no deer season in Southampton, right?

Suppose a school bus had been involved?

Uhhh? When did they end deer season in Southampton?

Not everything is being reported here. A family pet has lost her life in this accident. A dog who was in the SUV and her name was Sasha. It amazes me how animals are over looked by the media and not recognized as family members. The ambulance crew knew of Sasha. So why didn't Mr. James the reporter?

If they would of stopped all the out of control building in the hamptons there wouldn't be deer problems. They 've taken so much of there food source away .Just be glad it wasn't a moose!!!! It's real sad that sasha was killed.

Very true, overdevelopment has pushed the deer out of their traditional foraging grounds.

As a sidenote, there are many young bucks with deformed antlers these days as well.

Grazing on Chemlawn, perhaps?
