The Hamptons Gym Corp. hosted a charity spin class on Friday afternoon for Sean Grismer, a resident of Hampton Bays who was injured in a freak accident leaving him paralyzed from the waist down, last March. The class raised over $16,000 which will all be going to Grismer’s rehabilitation training and recovery.

Grismer, accompanied by his mother, Erin Grismer, and sister, McCaila Grismer, was presented with the big check on Friday.

“Progress has been unbelievable. Basically, 10 hours of training each week. It’s come to the point where I do something every Monday that I couldn’t do the previous Monday. It’s been on that trend for the last five months,” Grismer, 22, said.

Grismer will continue to train each week at the Barwis Rehab Facility in Deerfield, Florida.
