A truck hit the overhang at the Stony Brook Outpatient Services Center on Montauk Highway in Hampton Bays around 2:30 p.m. on Friday, causing minor damage.

No one was injured when a truck hit the carport on Friday afternoon, according to Sgt. Andrew Ficurilli, adding that the building sustained “very, very minor damage,” as a result of the collision.

Sgt. Ficurilli said that building inspectors from the Southampton Town Building Department were on hand to examine the structure following the crash and stressed that the damage was very minimal.
