Dec 6, 2011 2:16 PM

East Hampton Town Police are still seeking information about a man who allegedly fled from the basement of a house on Stephen Hands Path in East Hampton on November 25 with a shopping bag containing women’s undergarments after he was stopped by an acquaintance of the homeowner.

According to police, there was a brief struggle before the man ran south on Stephen Hands Path and into a wooded area east of the road.

The man was described as between 4 feet 10 inches and 5 feet 2 inches, in his late teens or early 20s, with straight black hair and brown eyes and wearing a gray sweatshirt and a light-brown baseball cap. Police said he was clean-shaven and Hispanic.

Anyone with information has been asked to contact the East Hampton Town Police Department’s Detectives Division at 631-537-6989 or to email ehtpd@ehtpd.org. Calls will be kept confidential, according to the release.

Umm that sketch does not look like a hispanic male. And how does the person know the assailant had straight black hair when he was wearing a baseball cap?
