UPDATE: Emergency Workers Respond To Head-On Crash In Noyac; Road Closed Between Deerfield Road And Roses Grove Road

UPDATE: 5:08 p.m.

Southampton Town Police said that Noyac Road, between Deerfield Road and Roses Grove Road, was closed to traffic because of the accident.

Police could not estimate when the road would reopen.

ORIGINAL STORY:

Emergency workers responded to a head-on collision on Noyac Road near Whalebone Landing Road in Noyac on Thursday afternoon.

Southampton Town Police said that the incident involved two vehicles, which collided head-on, and that numerous ambulances were responding to the scene.

A hazardous materials team responded to the accident due to a chlorine spill, and heavy rescue was also sent to the scene, according to police radio communications.

Southampton Town Police did not immediately offer more information.
