The Southampton Town Trustees filled the positions of president and secretary-treasurer on Monday, allowing incumbents Edward J. Warner Jr. and Scott Horowitz, respectively, to reprise their roles for another year.

Mr. Warner was nominated for president by Mr. Horowitz, and the other three Trustees—Bill Pell, Eric Shultz and newcomer Bruce Stafford—agreed to allow Mr. Warner to continue in his role after completing his first term.

A bayman from Hampton Bays, Mr. Warner was appointed to the Trustees in 2006 to fill the seat of his father, Edward Warner Sr., following his death. The elder Mr. Warner had served as a Trustee for nearly 30 years. His son is now serving his sixth term.

“I appreciate the support of the board bringing me back as president,” Mr. Warner said after the meeting. “As far as the Board of Trustees going into 2016 and 2017, I’m looking forward to working closely with the town and the Town Board and, hopefully, receiving some more funding so that we can do some projects.”

Mr. Horowitz was nominated to continue his role as secretary-treasurer by Mr. Stafford, and the board unanimously agreed.

Mr. Horowitz, an insurance broker from East Quogue, was first voted into his position last year when Mr. Warner vacated the seat to serve as president. Mr. Horowitz is now serving his second term as a Trustee.

“I’m just looking forward to continue serving the people of the Town of Southampton, doing the best that I possibly can,” Mr. Horowitz said after being voted back into the position.

All five Trustees were sworn in before Monday’s meeting began.

Mr. Stafford, a landscaper from Sag Harbor, was elected to his first term in November. He said he looks forward to working with the board and plans to accomplish a lot for the town’s freeholders over the next two years.
