Scoping Session For Noyac Road Traffic Calming Set For August 24

Aug 15, 2012 12:28 PM

A scoping session focusing on a traffic calming project planned on a notorious bend of Noyac Road near Cromer’s Market and the Whalebone General Store in Noyac is scheduled for next week, Southampton Town Highway Superintendent Alex Gregor has announced.

The session is set for Friday, August 24, from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Noyac schoolhouse on Noyac Road.

The purpose is to provide the public with information about a proposed design plan to calm traffic at the curve.

Area residents have been urging the town for years to make the stretch safer, and numerous proposals have been pitched over the past decade.
