Peconic Public Broadcasting Unveils New Logo

Peconic Public Broadcasting 88.3, WPPB-FM, has unveiled a new station logo designed by Montauk advertising firm Blumenfeld + Fleming.

The new brand logo was developed to communicate 88.3, WPPB-FM’s continued commitment to providing a responsive, authentic, local voice to its vibrant community base of contemporary listeners. The logo represents the elemental beauty of Long Island’s East End, which attracts visitors far and wide to its white, sandy beaches, clear blue waters and premiere lifestyle.

“We are excited about the launch of our beautiful and refreshing new logo unveiled just in time for the summer season,” commented WPPB President Dr. Wally Smith in a statement issued by the station. “The new logo represents the creative energy and power of the ocean that inspires our mission. We are a diverse community of people, steeped in history, yet always pressing forward into the future,” he added. “That is the human experience that informs and inspires our work and dedication to preserving and sustaining Long Island’s only local public radio and NPR station.”

In conjunction with the unveiling of the new logo, WPPB has updated their website at peconicpublicbroadcasting.org to provide listeners with additional local national and international news, commentary, and information, as well as expanded coverage of arts and culture.
