Lovely owners and they get a regular crowd of locals and temps alike. The ribs here were good and the missus enjoyed her fish

Kind of like a Tex-Mex pub crossed with a restaurant but we have been many times and never had a bad meal.

The service is friendly and efficient

I love Tex-Mex food but I have gone to New Moon many times and left disappointed. Recently, though, I tried out the place again and had a delicious creamy apple parsnip soup and amazing nachos topped with chicken and one really spicy pepper. The pepper was so spicy my ears hurt and my eyes teared up, and I had to order a glass of milk, so watch out for that!
I also ordered a great pumpkin beer. And I had a cute waiter!
So that one recent good experience has made up for some less-than-stellar meals.
Just another annoyance: EVEN THOUGH it's a Tex-Mex joint you have to pay for chips and salsa.
I'd say avoid the hamburgers and go for the Tex-Mex options.

maybe it's what was orderd, but New Moon is absolutely not the worst, and in fact, have THE BEST nachos around, as well as pecan pie. And the owners are awesome.

I kind of know where eastquogueguy is coming from but I am a sucker for little eclectic joints like this. I feel compelled to go once in a while even though the food isn't spectacular. I once got a veggie burrito that was stuffed with some random steamed vegetables. Just a bunch of plain vegetables rolled into a tortilla. Wha?? No rice, no beans. No sauce, even. Wha?

But I will go when I want something light. The kiddo gets a burger, I get a baked potato and a salad. My guy gets some chicken. We have a beer and enjoy the soundtrack.
